Standard Ceramic Supply's Wax Resist is water soluable and remains liquid at room temperatures. We add blue food coloring to make the product easy to see when applied to different surfaces. It's a great basic wax to use for decoration with underglaze and to resist glaze. Any underglaze or glaze that is not repelled by the wax can be easily removed with a damp sponge before firing. During firing, the wax and blue color will burn off and leave a clean surface behind.
